I made a chocolate flourless cake in school the other day. (I seem to have not taken a picture of it.) I was an easy and quick recipe. Once again this recipe is in ounces and if you need me to convert it I can.
1lb Dark Chocolate
15oz butter (use unsalted)
18oz granulated sugar
10 whole eggs
- Melt chocolate and butter over a double broiler
- Stir sugar into melted chocolate, stir in eggs one at a time
- Place in paper lined cake pans, parchment paper on the bottom
- Bake in a waterbath for about an hour and a half
- Keep covered with foi for the first 45 minutes
- Chill overnight before unmolding
- sift powered sugar and garnish with raspberries.
Make 2-8″ cakes.
Bake at 300 degrees ferhnheight

When it has came down Alicia Keys, she has written some really great songs for the past several years, from her hits like No One, Fallin’ and Karma, to writing for others like the driven Whitney Houston hit, Million Dollar Bill. But it has been awhile since Alicia Keys has came out with something new. It honestly has been very tough for her to follow-up the success she has had with all the tracks that were singles from As I Am. Yet, she still has the polish with her latest single, the tenderly soulful Doesn’t Mean Anything. The song isn’t a bad song, but still simple and strong from Alicia to write from her upcoming album. Alicia still has it. Yet, while the song is a good song, it isn’t as strong as her earlier hits. Nevertheless, I would still rather listen to Alicia than the overexposed Beyonce’ and Rihanna anyday. I hope her album does deliver when it comes out, because it will mean something more.
